PENDING LEGISLATION - 2011
NOTICE
All legislation brought before Village Council for consideration must be read at three consecutive meetings prior to being passed. However, legislation containing an emergency clause can be acted upon immediately. If, at the time of the second reading of proposed legislation, Village Council decides by majority vote, to pass a motion to suspend the rules of procedure, they can waive the remaining readings and vote to approve the legislation. If this procedure is initiated, the legislation will be in full force and effect thirty days after passage.
