Parks and Recreation

There are endless opportunities for fun and enjoyment in our parks.  Immerse yourself in the natural splendor of a park system that has something to offer for everyone.

Whether you prefer to walk, jog, or picnic, there is a lot to see and do.  You can visit the war museum or take a moment to remember the sacrifices of our veterans by stopping at the memorial built in their honor.  Fine art exhibits can be found throughout the park and areas have been created for visitors to just sit and relax while overlooking the scenic quarry.

The parks feature playgrounds for children, a fishing platform, walking path, basketball courts, volleyball courts, baseball diamonds and picnic areas.

Organized sports for youth and adults abound.  Residents can participate in activities such as baseball, softball and volleyball.

For those who prefer to exercise their minds, the Gibsonburg branch of the Birchard Public Library of Sandusky County houses 22,000 volumes of adult and youth books, and has available, system wide, another 7,930,000 books, audio and visual media.  Computers with internet access are available for public use and the library system also sponsors a number of special activities throughout the year.

White Star Park, operated by the Sandusky County Park District and located at the South edge of the Village, offers a wide range of activities, such as swimming, scuba diving, hiking, nature trails and camping.
